This is a specialized laboratory testing apparatus for Industries as per IS 6495 / ISO 3271. This evaluates iron ore pellet and sinter strength by tumbling a weighed sample and sieving the output on specific mesh sizes to calculate the Tumbler Index (TI) and Abrasion Index

It used to measure the resistance of iron ore pellets, sinters, and lump ores to breakage, impact, and abrasion. This test equipment rotate a defined material sample inside a steel drum at a controlled speed for a set number of revolutions.

This equipment helps the Steel industry to evaluate the iron Ore on below parameters -
